Fall Activities For The Whole Family!
Fall is rolling in which means cooler weather (hopefully), pumpkin carving, outdoor markets, corn mazes, and so much more! Here are a few fall activities going on in the Greater Baton Rouge Area! With communities in Ascension, East Baton Rouge, Livingston, and St. Tammany, there are so many fall activities nearby for residents to enjoy!
Looking for a fun place to bring your kiddos dressed up for Halloween? BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo is hosting its annual Boo At The Zoo! This event offers plenty of fun, enriching activities for kids and encourages costumes! If you are looking for a little adult-only time the zoo is also hosting its 8th annual Brew At The Zoo, on October 7th! This is a great evening to get out with some friends and sample craft beers and listen to some local music!
Fall time means pumpkin patch time! One of the community staples in Livingston Parish is Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch! This local staple offers not only a huge pumpkin patch but plenty of other activities like a hay maze or zip lining! Take the family out for a great time and pack a picnic to eat while enjoying the nice fall weather!
Another great pumpkin patch to bring the family to is the Barn Hill Preserve Pumpkin Patch! This will offer you a chance to not only pick out a nice pumpkin but meet a ton of animals, do a hayride, find your way through a corn maze, and a kangaroo walkabout!
Ready to get started on your holiday shopping? The Junior League of Baton Rouge's Hollydays is returning to the Baton Rouge River Center on October 12-15!
Want to entertain the kids? The Most Blessed Sacrament and St. George fairs will be on October 14-16! Go out for good food, rides, and so much more!
One more fun fall activity going on in the area is the Corn Maze at Burden! This event will be held 4 Saturdays in October and is sure to be a lot of fun! With the option to do a day maze or a night maze they offer something for every age! The Burden Museum is also offering Harvest Days, which offers demonstrations of activities that took place on a Louisiana farm during harvest season in the 1800s!
Fall is such a fun time of year and we love to see all the fun families have at these events! Remember to snap a lot of pictures and carve those pumpkins for your front porch!
